This past week I had the pleasure of leading a workshop with @lari_laroo at @prospect_human_services. Together with the clients, we made these amazing tiny pizzas! Thank you so much @prospect_human_services for the opportunity to share the joy of miniatures :) #Repost @prospect_human_services with @get_repost ・・・ Prospect artists were thrilled to host local talents Tom Brown and Larissa Costella for a workshop and talk. Both have been practicing in miniature since graduating from the the Alberta University of the Arts. They shared their passions with the group and led them through a project of bite size proportions, touching on themes of interaction, play and the way art permeates into their every day lives. ⠀ ⠀ Follow their work @tombrowncreates & @lari_laroo

I actually met him through one of his amazing mini knife finds and he uses such items such as old nails and shapes them into these gorgeous pieces. The little knife is actually sharp enough to cut paper as well. We’re trying to raise a little bit of money to throw towards @usaycalgary which is an organization to helping aboriginal youth. Bidding starts at $39, just go up by dollar please when you comment on the post. The last person who enters with the final amount will be the winner and I’ll announce on April 14th 12pm mst. This weekend’s hide will be this miniature Swiss Army knife. I am doing something special with the second version of it: @innerwolfjewelry will be hosting the sale of it in their shop, and all proceeds from the sale will be donated to @usaycalgary, an organization supporting urban Aboriginal youth. Skateboard #18 by @rositah for @projectstartingsmall • Included with this board was a story about a collection of chicken themed postcards- it is the little micro details like this which I hope this project unearths. And what a proper celebration of chickenhood this board is! The line work could be the map of a process-based chickens day, rooting, or a symbol of an inscrutably complex dance. Equally, it could be the dense folds of brain matter, portraying some kind of chicken like state of mind.
